Candidate Statement

Judith Soto is the Assistant Director at The Suzuki School. With 10 years of experience in the education field, She has enjoyed a successful career to date. Judith believes that early childhood education has the power to impact the direction of children's lives with a positive effect on future generations.

Judith is a resilient innovator, an observant problem solver, and a reflective, empathic listener, who has successfully honed her leadership skills within the school and community. Her hard work, flexibility, mindset, leadership skills and determination played an important role in her promotion to the DLI Coordinator in 2017, becoming recognized in the organization for leading the implementation of the Dual Language Immersion Program and recognized as resourceful advisor for teachers.

Looking to this year as a part of the GAEYC Board of Directors, Judith is relishing the opportunity to create a culture in which members strive to improve themselves by asking questions that evoke responses that converge around a common vision focused on having empathy for those we serve. She challenges herself by thinking of new ways to do things to move forward. Judith believes that, by changing our perspectives, we can change the world.

Bio

Judith Soto was raised in the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor Relations from the University of Puerto Rico. From 2011 to 2015, she eagerly embraced homeschooling education for her two daughters, igniting their love for learning.

In 2017, Judith took the lead of The Suzuki School's Dual Language Immersion Program as DLI Coordinator, and has been a driving force in ensuring quality Spanish-speaking educators can bring their talents to the children. She has also completed continuing education courses in Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP), Management Coaching, and Emotional Intelligence. Judith finished her certification in Early Childhood Education from the Montessori Teacher Education Institute in 2020.

In her spare time, Judith likes to listen to audio books, solve jigsaw puzzles, and take nature walks with her family.
