Bio

I may be new to ECE, but I have chosen to avail myself to some worthwhile initiatives. Over the past two years I have been selected to participate in the following: GAEYC Equity Fellows (‘21 and ‘22), BCDI-Atlanta Expand ECE Fellows, Home Grown Leading from Home, NAFCC Leaders Shaping Leaders, and NAEYC DEIB cohort. I am co-facilitator for SECAs monthly Conversations for Change with their current and past presidents, and I co-facilitate the NAEYC DEEA Interest Forum book clubs. I make it a point to learn from seasoned ECE professionals. I serve on the board for PFCCAG, and I look to explore deeper relationships for future programming. Even though this is volunteer work, I approach my board service as a priority and perform my duties with a spirit of excellence. I always pay the registration fee.

I bring many attributes to GAEYC: organization and time management, being present and curious, and thinking through a lens of strength. I can take constructive criticism and be open to feedback in order to support a belonging environment. I have learned many things by working with NAEYC and NAFCC about being a change agent and doing the work necessary to bring about meaningful change. Email Brigitte.
