Bio

Dr. Maria Shaheen is honored to be part of the early childhood education community for over 24 years. She has served as an early childhood teacher, administrator, university professor, and district-level early childhood administrator. Her research focuses on how young children engage in interdisciplinary learning experiences (such as STEAM and arts-based learning), equity-focused early childhood education, and early literacy skill instruction.
